I've got a pretty long e-mail thread running about it, but to recap, when I bought it it had been parked for 26 years. I rebuilt the top of the motor. I'm in the process of starting to put the carbs back together now so if I get gaskets in for it this week I'll hopefully be able to start it for the first time this weekend. After that it'll still need new tires, sprockets, chain, and eventually it sounds like I'll need new forks, but I'm going to start out riding it with the current forks as long as the seals will hold some amount of air pressure. I've got the bike stripped down to the frame, motor and wiring right now and I'll need to reassemble everything but I want to take a stab at getting rid of as much rust as possible first, because almost all the chrome has a some surface rust. I guess I need to ask about Phosphoric Acid here and see if anybody has suggestions on where I can get several gallons for a reasonable price (not $8/quart at my local Advance Auto Parts) so I can dip big parts like mufflers, front fender, etc.
