I don't know if they are the "cafe style" bars you're talking about, but I'm using Bikemaster "GP Touring" style bars on my 750. I'll take a picture when I get off work, if you want. They work well, low but the cables don't seem to interfere with anything.
I'm considering selling for something smaller to commute on, or I'd be looking at adding a set of bar end mirrors to augment what I have.
