I agree. The tubing on my 750 looks kinda dainty compared to the big, honkin' Oldwing rack, but I'm thinking that's just cosmetic. The mounting fittings on the 750 look sturdy enuf to support way more.
The wing's, by comparison, looks like it could tote a small house (!), but it's rated at only 20 lbs. The conservative ratings probly have more to do with the bike's aerodynamics and handling (and maybe corporate lawsuits)if "overloaded."
