One last question, I did not see on the ST-owners site. Do you know if there
is a backrest that will work with the Russell?

Ron,

I have Corbin on my Nighthawk and the Russell Day Long on the
ST1100. I purchased mine on eBay for about $150 including shipping to
Hawaii - it was a great deal. The guy selling it said it was made for
someone about 6 feet tall and I'm 6'2' and a half so I took the risk.
It is tight - my knees are close to the fairing but it really works
for my busted up shoulder. It's the one piece design and much softer
than the Corbin. I also bought my Corbin on eBay.

The one good discussion on the www.st-owners.com site was about
upgrading the seats. Russell really works with you to build the seat
the way you want it - it's just a matter of money.

Is one better than the other - for really long days the Russell is
very comfortable. Daily commuting I like the Corbin because I have a
better feel of the bike and the road.
