Look at the icon shocks, not much more than the progressive "cheap" shocks and they give you rebound dampening which I didn't realize the importance of until I got my VFR. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

My problem now is one of aesthetics. DK only lists 412-4211C as the available 412 shock for a '93 CB750. That's a 13" shock w/ 3.89" travel and 90/130 spring rates. Progressive Suspension website suggests I go with 412-4212C, which is a 13" shock w/ 3.89" travel and 105/150 spring rates. (Amusingly enough, DK also offers this assembly, but it's $50 LESS than the "fits your bike" listed assembly with the lower rate springs). Here's where I get nitpicky, though. Both of these are full-chrome assemblies, by the C on the tag; I would rather not have a full chrome assembly. I hunted about, using the stronger spring rates, and found 412-4020B and 412-4021B. These are, respectively, 13" 3.89" E/E 105/150 and 13.5" 4.14" E/E 105/150 black colored assemblies. Bearing in mind I usually load this thing up and I'm not a lightweight, I'm thinking the heavy weight springs might be beneficial. My next question is if going with the bigger shock with slightly more travel (only 6mm) would be beneficial at all? Would it have a deleterious effect? Can anyone think of something I've missed here? Kurt And yes, you guys are tails. :p On Fri, Apr 20, 2012 at 2:33 PM, Javier Garcia <[email protected]> wrote: > Rear! yes, if you can go with the progressive 412's it is a great upgrade. > The front springs are cheaper and you are more likely to be able to find > the $$ later.
