Paul,
          Look at it this way - the electrical boys at Honda had the good
sense to NOT but everything on one circuit - you still had your head light.
          When I lost the headlight fuse on my 78 GS1000 - it took out the
headlight, tail light, brake light, running lights, high and low beam - all
in one shot.
           That wasn't fun.
