If it is any consolation, I first found a Concours on CL before I found my
ST. My said at the time, we can't spend the money now. I am so glad she
did. It was only a short time till I found the ST, which was newer and a
better. My thought is, be patient, things will work out. If you sell the
other bikes first, you will have money in hand and it is an easier sell for
you wife too.

Well Boys and Girls,

Got some bad news regarding the finances this summer - and the
half a roof I need to put on the house will take priority over a newer
motorcycle.

             Drat!

Joey you shouldn't have any trouble selling either the Suzuki or the
Nighthawk. Shoot us a link when you get them listed on Craigslist. Being
that it's still Spring and all, there should be plenty of people looking.

Hello All,
Well I finally got hold of the gentleman with the ST1100. It
is as advertised - 32 k mileage and very well maintained. there are
some scuffs and scratches, but nothing serious and nothing that I
wouldn't probably put on myself. As to the power - well - DANG!
I took it for a brief spin and I was impressed. Called my
insurance carrier - my total insurance liability goes up about $60 /
year with both the GS 1000 and the ST 1100 on the policy. (it is 20
years old after all) If I sell the GS-1000 - my insurance cost goes
down by about $20 / year. (In other words - about a $40 / year
increase for a bike that is over a decade newer)
Currently waiting for the credit union to open - see what I
can do for a loan.
In the mean time - anyone looking for a 1978 Suzuki GS-1000?
Ready to ride! How about a 1982 Honda Nighthawk thats in need of a
little TLC?
