14K is pretty darned good for a bike like the 700 that engourages
"spirited" riding. You must be easy on the first gear eh? Do you ride
one bike a certain road and the other another? One to work and another
on the twisties? remember most secondary roads have a crown to shed
rain ( at least here in the staes) and that causes uneven wear on one
side of the tire....and as another member said tire pressure is all so
important. No two brands are exactly alike compound tocompound, so I'd
just chaulk it up to that. Yes I'm also sure tread pattern can be an
element as well.
