I always fear that a short will be a little spot on the underside of a wire that I can not find. That one seems a little more obvious. Great job! And what a relief.
I got the brake fluid changed on the NH tonight. They feel solid. The hardest part was waiting for the pump to come and then getting it to seal tightly. It was easy enough. Tomorrow night the ST. which has three lines to bleed and if time permits a clutch. Also on the map I have two browsers and have not be able to add myself. It keeps telling me my browser does not accept cookies. But I have verified that it is. So I am kinds lost on that project. Well, I finally started tearing into the problem, and as luck would have it, on the first side that I started taking apart I found the culprit. One of the hot wires leading to the right, rear signal was shredded and some strands of the wire were exposed. See pic below: Inline image 1 I tucked my smart phone under the fender and snapped this surprisingly detailed shot of the bared wire (black) with a strand sticking out just waiting to short out on something. I have since started removing enough of the bike that I can get to the wire and do whatever repairs are necessary.
