I have totally re-built and "resto-modded" a 1979 Yamaha XS650 Special
II, ("Special" designates the cast wheels) w/ a 750 kit, mikunis, new
everything, from harness to switches, hot cam, boyer, sparxs charging
unit and digi reg/rec, emgo mini turn and running lights, powder
coated black, new tank, braced swingarm and front fork/fender, extra
euro spec fr caliper and disk, clutch, all seals and gaskets, cam
chain, new dunlops, stainless 1"3/4" pipes w/ EPO and TPO, lots of
stainless, on and on...$12k in parts alone and about 750 hrs. Sounds
and pulls like a 900. It is for sale btw, will sacrifice.
Also have a Honda Rukus which is a gas!
