No. I raced a 1% guy who I see all winter on his sportster 1200 with my NH 750.
I had him on acceleration, cornering, and braking. I raced a nice custom harley
bobber just a couple of weeks ago with my VFR. He started popping wheelies when
he noticed me come up behind him. While I was only slightly faster up to about
75 (traffic prevented me passing him), once I was in third I drove past him
like he wasn't moving. He tried to keep up till about 100 then realized it was
fruitless and a turn was coming up that he didn't have the stones to take at
that speed. My bike is a pig compared to even a 900 fireblade, certainly it's
no where near a new 1000 RR. They make a dominator version of the vrod it comes
with factory wheelie bars and a slick car tire. Its a factory drag bike, and
they can only do 10.5 second 1/4 mile times. A stock 1000RR is faster than that
with street tires. The BMW S1000R is even faster by a lot.

That's some nerve, I'd challenge them publicly in front of as many coworkers
as possible to road race their Hardly Abelsons against your 650. When they
scoff at the idea you can beat them up about how they are scared that
they'll loose to a bike with half the engine. If you end up loosing the
race, your expected to because you have half the engine. Pick a windy course
and you'll win those guys can't ride unless it's straight anyway.

Sorry in advance but I need to vent and hope you guys will understand!

I'm sick and tired of all of the Harley Davidson owners that think and act
like they are better than the people who own and ride Metric bikes. I have
two guys here at work that are relentless at being jerks. They have gone
as far as to tell me I can't park my bike (650 nighthawk or my 1800 vtx) at
work because this is an american plant and they don't want any "junk" in
the lot. Let me tell you, my VTX will blow their Harleys away any day.

Sorry, I just had to vent. Thanks for allowing me the forum to do it.

Mike
