My brother put the bikemaster superbike bars on his. To ensure tank clearance
he JB welded some 1/4 inch aluminum bar stock to the steering stops. No need to
change cables. I think they feel much more responsive than the stock bars and
more comfortable position as well. Looks almost stock too.

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Lower Handlebars

Hey Everyone,

I have a 1992 CB750 and I am considering putting lower handlebars on it. I
have pretty long arms and after sitting on a few bikes with lower
handlebars, Ive decided that this is something that I want to try out.

The question is: How?

Looking at the bike, lower bars look as though they may hit the tank - how
can I prevent this? And if I put some low rise bars on it, would I need to
buy new cables as well? I dont forsee any unreasonable amounts of slack
being created, but I just want to cover my bases.

Finally, any suggestions on bars? Has anyone else done this?

Thanks everyone!

Jake
