I concur. Don't know the bike or owner, or establishment, leave it alone.
Could be it wouldn't start if stopped? Who knows?

Couldn't be too far off.

Sean, I don't mess with other peoples bikes without their permission. Maybe
he left it on, on purpose, for a purpose.

Maybe it had remote start, and the owner hit the button.

I went out to my bike today and noticed a V-star parked next to my bike that
was running - actually my daughter was with me and noticed. No key and the
helmet locked to the side of the bike. I tried the kill switch and it
didn't kill the engine. I was in this parking garage with a lot of fan
noise so I didn't hear it.

I checked the exhaust and the bike was running. First thing is I don't know
how this is even possible. However - the only thing I could think of doing
was to turn off the gas and wait until it stalled out. I didn't do this
because I have never seen the bike before and have no idea who's bike it is.

Should I have turned off the gas and waited until it turned off?

Thoughts?
