When i was in Puerto Rico back in '69, i watched a rather exceedingly corpulent P. R. cop on a Guzzi traveling the same direction as i. The road was terriblein that area, full of crater - sized potholes. I saw the tires rapidly reciprocating in and out of them,up and down, with great fury, as it were. I looked up at his expansive gut and saw not one ripple in the jelly belly. I was on my 550 Four and i was growing tired of the jolts i was feeling, impatient to be.out of that section of road. Needless to say, i have never forgotten that moment.
