What he said. I'm willing to believe some were cobbled together Stateside, even sold to the unwitting public, but as an official Honda venture? Seems too poorly planned out, not well executed, and as mentioned, where are the articles from the press, the urban legends? A "Cease Production" order is such a rare occurence it usually raises quite a fuss, even more so when it's on the heels of a poor safety record and a black eye for a large foreign company.
Harley especially would probably have chewed such an instance for all it was worth, besides the media.
