Hi, you have one of the great Nighthawks produced by Honda.  We want to know 
more.  To answer your questions Left is as you are sitting on the bike.  It 
looks like it is your right turn signal stem is broken - a very common problem. 
 Over the years the stems or stays as they are called dry rot.  Type in Honda 
Nighthawk turn signal stems on eBay and see what comes up.  The front ones are 
unique.  I bought aftermarket ones from off eBay fairly cheap.  They are not as 
sturdy as the originals but they do the job.  They are called stems or stays,
