Ya, I was thinking that did not seem right. 550. It's going to take some
work to get it into shape.

Could it have been a 550? The 450 was chain driven I thought.

I have seen a few Nighthawks from time to time in town, but never had a

when I came out there was a bike in the lot next to mine. At first I
thought it was a bobber. I looked at the engine and it was a 83 450 shaft
drive Nighthawk. When I went inside it was easy to identify the guy. He
said he just got it and was going to fix it up. I told him about Nighthawk
Lovers, he said he was interested, and would check it out.
