It could be weak clutch springs. Hey everyone. I was wondering what (besides low oil) would cause a knocking sound coming from the engine? Also, that same sound DISAPPEARS when I engage the clutch. As a complete novice to motorcycles in general, I am at a loss. I HAVE purchased a Haynes manual for the specific year of the bike (1984 650) and I'm waiting for it to arrive, but I''d like to have a little idea of what you more experienced techs and riders might think it is. I'll try to attach a link to a video of the bike running so I can demonstrate what I mean. In the meantime, happy riding and thanks in advance for any help. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
