All depends on your commute, distance, trafic, highways or back roads. If its short on city streets i cant speak highly enough about my aprilia sr50. But any more then a 20 min run in town or back roads you would be better off with a bigger bike. That being said the 250 nighthawk i had would be a great half step between the 50cc 2 stroke and the goldwing. The 250 made many hour plus long commites minimally comfortably (some 2 up with a combined rider weight at about 500 pounds) and has even taken me out of.state on the highways.
