Well, I got my handlebar risers on and went for a ride this weekend. These
are the $30 Ebay risers, 1". They went on pretty easy once I got the
windshield disconnected. There's no more slack left in the brake line than
the 1", and even that is tight. I couldn't have the handlebars at the same
angle of tilt as before; it pulled my mirrors a little forward and lifted
the hand grips parallel to the ground.

Actually, that was OK, because it also gave me a little of the "back" of
the "up and back" I wanted. I feel like I sit upright now and not hunched
forward at all. Much better! Strongly recommended.

So, the two mods I've tried recently, the 16-tooth front sprocket and the
1" risers, have made the bike seem peppier and more comfortable. Bring up
KC and the Sunshine Band behind me as I fade out because "That's the way
(uh-huh, uh-huh) I like it (uh-huh, uh-huh)"...

Oh, and I got my $200 craigslist V30 to fire yesterday, first time. It was
a good weekend!
