Cheryl, a simple quick fix would be to put a rubber band on the levers to take some of the pull weight off of them. and least short term. Also I would consider a spring on the cables down below to pull some weight. And finally, it seems the levers bend fairly simply once. If there was a way to bend them to fit better. Just some ideas off the top of my head. Although none if these are better than getting a set of proper levers. Your bike shares the same specs as these and you can use any that will fit for them. I have a 1983 NH cb650 and I love everything about it except for the fact that it is very painful to operate the levers. I can only ride it for a little while before my hands start to cramp up. My hands are small and I have to reach to grab the clutch and brake levers. I really do not want to sell this bike. I have contacted a few companies about adjustable levers, but no luck. I also contacted Honda and they suggested that I put new handlebars on the bike. I was hoping that someone in this group may know of somewhere to purchase levers for the 1983 NH that would be easier to operate by someone with small hands.
