Use carb cleaner not brake cleaner when seeking leaks... I promise you they are different chemicals and react differently.
Your carbs are crusty inside. Pull em, tear em down, clean em, rebuild with new kits... If your carbs have high speed air valves, power valves, etc, be prepared as these diaphragm parts often are NOT included in a 'rebuild kit' and need to be purchased from Honda or K&L.
