There's a guy on YouTube who shows how to get the carbs back on an 80's V45 Magna. He suggests making carb boot tea with hot water to soften them before putting the carbs on with a ratchet strap and pry bars. His suggestion to rub the insides of the boots with motor oil seemed to help when I put the carbs back on my V30 last week.
