I'm pretty sure the Avon AM26 road riders are cheaper than the Dunlops. I've ridden Jon's bike a couple of times since he mounted them and if you are exceeding the traction of them, you are definitely riding too fast. I didn't try them in the rain, but they have a lot of siping (SP??) So I'd imagine they would do well in the rain. I was going to get the Avons for the GS, but the forum just had too many thumbs up on the Shinkos, so I figured I'd try a set as they are super cheap. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
