In my experience if a coil dies it just simply ceases to work. I'd check the 
connection and do an ohm check. If bad accell and dyna make replacements.

Oops for got about the cup filter when talking to you but i did check
it 2 weeks ago as well but will check again and if it is the coil I
know that they are not made OEM any more any suggestions on new.
