Hardest part of that will be the lowering "links."

Lowering Links refers to metal pieces used to control the swing of a
progressive rate mono-shock.
None of the Nighthawk line is equipped with a progressive rate monoshock
(actually, none of them are equipped with a monoshock period, though I did
try :p).

Lowering is going to have to be a combination of several things, rather
than a simple link kit. Shorter rear shocks, carefully combined with
movement of the forks in the triple tree, can roughly maintain your stock
geometry while reducing seat height.

Modifying the seat foam can also bring that height down lower, and would be
the place I would start since it's free, doesn't change the bike's
handling, and often is enough if you don't need a big drop.

Larger drops (I've seen someone trying for a full 2" drop!) are going to
take some very careful thought and planning.

Is your bike a chain or shaft drive? I'm not familiar with the 80s 750s.
