I thought that looked familiar, but couldn't place it! I've done 3-sets of forks. (Should've only been 2, but some seals got messed up in the process)
BTW-the 1st legitimate person to check out the 550 bought it. Got the $650 asking price. There were some sighs from 3-other folks that were interested. Of course the guy only wanted to give me $600. I even threw in a leather jacket I got at a thrift store for $5, just to sweeten the deal. I bought it with 18K miles on it, & sold it with 38K. Did 20k in 4yrs.when it was my only transportation. It was a great time. It had the timing chain rattle from the time I bought it & it never let me sitting. It was in storage from Thanksgiving to Memorial Day during the paint project. Only ran about 3-tanks of gas through it this summer. I need the extra money to do some repairs on a gas guzzling 15-mpg truck, so I can get a compact car & save money on gas for the next project.
