There is a date stamp on every tire, prior to year 2000 it was 3 digit numbers, 
the week # and the last digit of the year. So 268 could be june 1998 or June 
1988. Now they are 4 digit so it would be 2603 for june 2003. If you tires are 
older than 3 years they will be hard and prone to loose traction. I hope that

yes, dry rot was my initial concern there too, but they are solid, and 
that's from a few experienced friends that i had take a look too. def going 
to keep a very close eye on them too.
