the exhaust tubes are double walled. 500 degree engine paint and clear will hold up just fine. they have 2000 degree also but not needed imo. ive used the 500 on several motorcycle exhaust header tubes. no peeling, fading or anything. graham that's what I had on my 86 rwb s that you almost bought. never had one issue with the paint on that and did the entire exhaust.
