That's a tough one, my buddy has an 82 650 and despite the fact that the later 
650 and 750 tanks look the same the dimensions and side panel mounting holes 
were different between the models/years. Unless you get lucky and someone on 
here has a 450 and another model to try it out, I'd say your best bet is to 
figure out what range of years the 450 used that tank. If you lookup the part 
number for the tank from a online parts fiche you can check other years to see 
if they use the same part number.

I have an 86 - 450sc and the tank is completely shot. 
Is it possible to swap out a tank from another Nighthawk from a different 
year or different size?

This is the last thing I have to do to put my bike on the road..
