Hey guys... Just getting around to finding out what is wrong with my truck...I did take it to AutoZone to get a code reading and got 3... I'll try to decipher them and post them here later tonight...
At this point, I would like to add this about my check engine light: the light has been ON for a while now...I had it checked a while back and they told me it was a problem with a fuel injector vacuum pump (or something like that) that would cost about $500 to fix...BUT...that I could drive it and the only problem would be really bad gas mileage...so...since I don't do a lot of driving, I've been driving it with the light on... now...what happened that Sat when it was raining...was something new and unexpected...the FLASHING Check Engine light...was only that one time...it is now back to being steadily on...but...the Oil Pressure Gauge stays all the way to right at 80...I drove it quite a bit on New Years Eve, and at one point the needle went all the way to the left and stopped at 0 and then went all the way back to the right (80)...fyi, I was going UP an incline at that point, at about 50-55 mph... also...as soon as I turn the key, to 'AUX'...the needle just goes all the way to the right and stays there... I am hoping this information will help y'all tell me what you think the problem might be...for now, I am going out to check 'sending unit' as mentioned in one of y'alls previous replies...thanks for the help guys; like I said, I really do appreciate it! :D On Thursday, December 26, 2013 4:46:09 AM UTC-6, NghthwkLvr (NL) wrote: > > so last sat it was raining...i jumped in my truck and proceeded to go get > something to eat...while one the freeway, i notice my engine light > blinking...so i got off the freeway to try to figure out what was > wrong...as i looked at all my gauges i noticed my oil pressure all the way > to the right at 80!...actually passed the line mark... > needless to say i turned around and went home...On monday morning took > truck to get oil > change...thinking that would fixit...it didnt...the oil pressure gauge is > all the way to the right past the 80 line mark...so...what do y'all > think?...whats my next step...or what is causing this...btw...its my 2003 > chevy silverado 1500...thanks guys...any and all help is greatly > appreciated... -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
