Hey NH Lovers!

The opportunity some of you may have been waiting for is here.
Finally need to sell my 1985 CB700SC to make way for a new bike (2013
CB500x). I won't say that I won't miss this bike, though.
Only 19,8xx miles on it, very reliable, but still in need of a lot of
repairs.

Pros:
Engine and transmission work flawlessly.
Battery is new as of last year.
Low mileage (see photos)
All lights work as they should.
Genuine Corbin seat included.

Cons:
Minor cosmetic damage all around, including (nut not limited to) small dent
in gas tank and missing cover for left driver foot peg (see photos)
Windshield is partially detached on left side (see photo)
Rear tire in good shape but nearly bald; front tire has a bit more tread
but side walls are deteriorating (see photos)
 >Both tires have held up well through the recent rains and (on one
occasion) surprise snow.
Starts on the first try within one second of pressing the Start button, but
(rarely) struggles in doing so.
 >When it does happen, I just hold the throttle open a bit and hold the
Start button in until the engine fires.
Corbin seat seems to absorb rain water through a crack in the left side
(see photos)
When pulling away from a stop, the gear shift might slip from 2nd back down
into neutral.
When idling at a light, the engine might stall for lack of RPMs unless the
throttle is kept open (slightly)
Front brake pads are starting to squeak, but still have great stopping
power.

KBB Motorcycles says that the value for this bike is ~$1960 if in great
shape (
http://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/honda/cb700sc-nighthawk-700-s/1985-honda-cb700sc-nighthawk-700-s/suggestedretailvalue/).

In light of all the defects this bike has, I am willing to bring the price
down to just $1000. Will consider reasonable offers.

Keep in mind that this is my daily ride to and from work (only ~4 miles one
way). If you are considering buying this bike and live very far, I highly
recommend that you bring a trailer (or something) to haul it away.

Clear Illinois title ready for signing. Must have $1000 cash in hand and
show a valid class M license to test.

Will post contact info later.
