Paul's right, valves, rings, head gasket, etc could be the issue, but I have had a single carb blocked before. Also it could be the petcock diaphragm is letting fuel down the vacume line and flooding the #2 (i think) cylinder. Or the sync screw or mixture screw might be too far out of adjustment.
