I think we're over into a new topic now, but anyway, I've heard people recommend the Pinesol soak and other people say it's an urban legend. I once decided to try it, but all we had was Lestoil under the sink, so I tried that. I can personally attest that Lestoil will make your carbs smell nice, but that's about it. As I've mentioned before, I've had good luck with Yamalube carb cleaner. It turns deposits into soft, white gook but doesn't dissolve the rubber components of your carbs. I also find that if you pour off the top and leave the gook at the bottom, it's basically reusable. That's my two cents. Your mileage may vary. If you try the Pinesol soak and it works, let me know.
