I started my '83 CB650 up after a long winter here in MN. I rode it a low speeds around the neighborhood for less than a mile, and it was fine. It sat in the garage for a month before I got it out to ride again. Now, it starts OK but never gets to the point where I can turn off the choke. RPMs will increase as it warms up to about 2800 rpm. I I try to give it any throttle, it will kill. Doesn't seem to matter how long it sits and idles. This is in neutral - I can actually ride it albeit very slowly, in first gear at that rpm. An throttle will cause a stall. I removed the air cleaner and checked for obstructions, and tried running without it. No change. I did not drain the carbs for winter, but added sea foam to the gas and ran it through before putting the cycle away. This has been sufficient in the past. I plan on draining the gas and carbs and trying fresh gas, but thought I'd ask if anyone has experienced this before and had suggestions to try. Yes, I have searched previous posts, but didn't find this specific problem. Thanks for any help.
