Yeah, my afterthought comment of "bygone era" made my original intent unclear. Sorry.
Although it's not uncommon to see old bikes with Vetter fairings on CL, it is uncommon to see them with the lowers, as in the case of this bike. Of course, within 10 years Honda was making the Pacific Coast which had its own wind protection built in, and the Goldwing, too. I even saw a 750 Nighthawk with a fairing with lowers on it on CL once, but I have no idea how that came about.
