I don't know, but maybe why the only Madstad shown for $99, was it may work
for any universal bike. I think Twisted Throttle is a good vendor. So for a
possible $275, ultimate flexible windshield faring (with MRA V-Flow beak
and wing), it might be real reasonable. And yes, drop another $110 for the
lower acrylic shields. But it is getting closer to feasible. I always look
to the best, and then trim it down to feasible.

Tons of air flow and face shield rattle are an expressway riders worst
enemy. And the gas mileage should also improve ($$). I have just now seen
the ultimate control of adverse wind flow, and I am pretty excited: the
guess work can be dialed in with the proposed combo above.

Its better than buying a $15,000 used BMW that I think is inferior to the
93 Nighthawk 750 in many ways that I value motorcycle riding. I was excited
to find the Nighthawk 750, and now I am stoked at the possibilities. My
bike is already a head-tuner now, but for less than $400, it could be a new
model morphed in functionality. Or maybe not (?) You are probably right
with the safest alternative (Plexifairing 3) for sure. Its all a reward for
risk gamble. But I've been riding a long time with many different fairings
and shields on many bikes. And without a doubt, that looks like the best
combo I've seen (it is a new concept though) even better than the electric
BMW wing. But for $400, or $200-$300 more than replacing the durable shield
I have now, it is a moderately safe gamble versus buying an expensive bike
that is inferior to my commuter bike in many ways that I value.

So no, maybe it is not worth the added cost if all you have is $200 (and I
don't have that now!). But compared to equivalent air flow systems, how do
you value the best system possible, your lifetime hearing, or tons of wind
fatigue? I can definitely see your point in a proven cost efficient system
though. Hands down, cost wise and hassle wise, you are right! :-)
