A reply below from a user on Amazon for a specific motorcycle brand already
with a windshield. I think I nailed this one :-) As far as the vision, the
Europeans have a BLACK curved shield option ($64), ha ha. It would only
matter if you are looking 15' or less in front of you. And since the
compressed air pocket blows the rain away, you can always look over the
shield. I would like to hear my engine again at 75 mph!

"Overall, windshield does solve the huge amount of wind noise when
traveling 75 mph. It's wonderfully quiet, and you can hear the engine now
instead of the wind. You can ride without your visor down without noise.
Build quality was very good, and it fit perfectly. Installation took 10
minutes. However, there are some trade-offs which are not insignificant.

First of all, your vision is a little impaired. I normally wear polarized
sunglasses when I ride, and now that I am looking through the top
windshield I see colors in it, some pinks, purples and browns. It's a
little distracting. You also have to look through two plastic pieces where
the clamps attach, as well as the two clamps as you are riding.

Second, when you are traveling at lower speeds, I wanted to slide the top
windshield down so I could feel the breeze. This was not possible as the
top windshield doesn't go low enough. All in all, I am still fairly happy
with the purchase as the wind noise is no longer an issue."
