I think it is just too much of a good thing for oem's, including Honda. It will always be my oem commuter bike from now on. The valves are the deciding point among many mechanical and purchasing variables. And especially with blue metallic paint on 93's (only) that I get complements any time someone walks by my bike. And also of course, the front fork drain screws at the bottom of the tubes. I did not realize all oem's were eliminating fork drain screws, even Nighthawk 750's after 1995.
Money invested in upgrades on this bike is money well invested for the long term, and the valves are my favorite feature of all! (Although the backcut gears (a dragster transmission machinist trick) on the rock steady transmission are a favorite I appreciate every gear change, up or down.) When I get over 100 years old, I'll have to put a rack an pinion for dual front wheels to keep me upright: i.e. - a trike. Thanks for the information Allen! It helps me plan for the future, on a tight budget.
