My first 85 Nighthawk 650 had it at 9k miles when I bought it and the previous owner said it was there pretty soon after he bought it new. I now have another 85 with 25k and it has it significantly. I don't know whether it is a problem or not. I guess it depends on the extent of the chatter indicating how loose the tensioner and therefore the chain is.
