Sean, I think if that's true for you, then that's true for you. We had a couple of young riders a while back posting about their tours of the US on 450's. THEY certainly can tour on a smaller bike. I'm the guy who went from Atlanta to SF and back on a 750 in May. When I was in my 20's, I logged thousands of miles touring the West on my CB550K. So it is pretty obvious to me that one can indeed tour on something smaller than an ST, even if you could not personally do it. Now, if I took a trip on an ST, I may never be able to go back to my 750. Who knows? I can say that since I bought a Plexifairing 3, I could never go back to touring with no windshield. And since I bought a coffee maker, I could never go back to instant coffee. Guess why we don't feed our dog table food? But I will never tour on an ST because my height, weight, and body strength would not permit it. At least that's my perception.
