Allen, 43 hp / 300 lbs = 0.143 hp/lbs for Husky 'proto' type (that is just a tease before KTM CEO shuts Husky down??).
58 hp / 368 lbs (US Model w/o abs) = 0.158 hp/lbs for 2013 Husky TR450 Strada new for $4995. That's 158/143 = 10.5% more power to weight ratio for the Husky TR650, not including PRICE ratios, with no (BMW) overhead attached: KTM got it for almost free just to shut the model down and squelch competition of their KTM 690. KTM better be coming up with more 'Proto' models for KTM, Husky, and any other company they have bought to shut down later. Their 'value' proposition just took a nose dive (i.e. the invincible KTM 690 can now be beat with an oem 2013 discontinued 650 cc model.) It's for real, here and now at a killer price. What does that come out to in monthly payments, a little over $100 - $125/ month for a souped up, stripped down, high tech BMWr 650? Too bad I've already got a 1997 (BMW) Strada with carbs, and I don't like efi on motorcycles. But I still think it is a real hot bike (duh, if it can beat KTM 690's in racing.) Just saying.
