I was up against the same thing last May before my trip. After watching some YouTube videos, I decided that I didn't want to ride my first attempt to the West Coast, so I had our local Honda shop put on the chain. Bought a chain breaker on a wild hair at Harbor Freight after that but haven't tried it.
