The guy I bought my first NH750 had got it home when he bought it on a trailer hitch mounted rack. Don't know how far I'd go like that, but it is doable depending on the hitch rating, as Paul says. That guy had towed it from north to south Atlanta, maybe 60 miles. The rating on the hitch on my car ($300 plus installation) is 200lbs. Since most of the weight is going to be on the back tire, I could get away with towing a bike like yours even with my car.
I picked up a Harbor Freight trailer off craigslist for $180, and I pull bikes with the Buick Century I inherited from my father. For a bike like yours and mine, it's great, and I get a lot of use out of it in other situations, too. But then a minimalist 1-rail trailer would also be very convenient. Of course you're limited as to where you can park with those things, especially at fast food restaurants, and if you're an apartment dweller, we know how that's going to be. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
