I mean, take the vehicle out in public and the tag number is there in front 
of God and country. My guess is that people who hide numbers are afraid 
that the evil elements on c/l will use the number to find the address and 
then break in and steal the bike when the owners are away. But is that even 
possible? Of course the local BMV has that info, but I don't think it's 
released to the public.
