Wow.  Now your going to tap/tax my memory of air moving/handling technology.  
Air at sea level and 70oF weighs 70 pounds per cubic foot.  The higher in 
elevation the less weight per cubic foot the air will have. When you at 
humidity it makes the air lighter believe it or not.  So the less the air 
weighs the less you get into the chamber in lbs of air.  That is why cars with 
turbo chargers will out perform cars without in the mountains.  Also turbo 
charged vehicles with an intercooler perform better than those without because 
the intercooler does as it is supposed to.  Lower air temperature and in 
response makes the air denser.
