Can't argue that logic. I just thought I would offer a recommendation if throwing away a brand new helmet isn't an option. I've done it before to relieve a pressure point on an otherwise nice snug helmet. Also I like scorpion helmets they are good quality for not much more money IMHO. But they use way too much cheek padding for me. So I've removed padding from a couple of helmet liners before.
