Hello!, yes, it works perfectly, and the reading is more accurate that the original one (specially when you are in the low side). For the wiring, you will need to swap the connector for your original sensor or buy a new one at your local electronics store (because it comes with a female header instead of the original male header). also when the tank is full (maximum...) sometimes the sensor float touch the tank wall, but does not bother me at all, and it will goes fast (when the gas level stars to go down). It was very good to have my gas gauge working again.
About the part, is not available in USA or Canada (I'm in Canada) because that motorcycle model was never sold here, so that's why I bought it in the UK. Shipping will be 8 pounds (UK post small packets, and it take around a week) Best regards On Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 5:53:05 PM UTC-4, Honda Hornet wrote: > Hello! > > My gas level sensor was not working properly, the original Honda part is > already discontinued and the ones that sometimes are available on EBay are > very rare and look rusted, so I decided to find a possible replacement, and > I found one Fuel sensing unit of a Honda Brazilian motorcycle ( > http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda_cg125%2095.htm ) that > have the fuel tank very similar, the bolt pattern and the fitting are the > same as the CB700 SC. > > I bought one to try it, I already did a dry fit and is perfect.
