I never thought the rear fairing was too flagrant either ... I could go
either way, but a couple reasons I left it off:
- I like the more minimal "cafe" style - even if my bike is obviously
not a $X000 project cafe bike

- When I started painting the rear suspension and signals darker I
thought the minimal and dark look held up (with $0.49 signal brackets)
- Time - my wife was coming home with the kids from a week out of town
... limited time / kept it off in a "Ditch it, that'll do" / clean the
house scramble :) Ended up liking it.
