Hi, I'm doing an oil and filter change on my 1983 650 Nighthawk. On re assembling and referring to a schematic layout, it looks like the spring should sit between the cover and filter. However, when I took it apart it was fitted between the filter and engine. Any advice on the correct position would be appreciated. Cheers Neil
